Hi: I just finished a session with the new platform, and I would likt to say the following: - I couldn’t see the other party. My student had her cam on, but I just couldn’t see her. Is there any tutorial on how to use this platform? I know the instructions are right before the session begins, after joi click join ….but, it might be a little to late for some. I know that both my student and I were both LOST. |

Hey Enrique. Thanks for your message. We’re doing some limited testing today of the new platform. One piece of feedback that a few people have said is to put the instructions in the session in addition to having them prior to joining the session. As for the video stuff, that also would be a reflection of not having the instructions inside the chat client. :) Clock is a good piece of feedback. That’s something we can definitely work to develop. |

I had a session tonight and had tech issues. I was unable to get the video or mic to work in the session. Whenever I try to start them I get a little box that pops up asking my permission to access my camera or mic. Once that little box pops up I click accept yet it does nothing, and the entire session is frozen for me. I have to exit out and re enter the room. So far all I can get to work is the text/chat. I cannot hear my tutor, and they cannot hear or see me. I would love to solve this. HELP! |

I just finished my lesson using the new platform. The video was working fine, although I experienced some problems with the audio (echoing, delay in the transmission). And whenever my student thought about how to express herself correctly, the micro was “dead”. Using the other platform I normally hear some side noise, but I could hear nothing this time. Also the first words were cut when the student started talking again. But nevertheless, the new platform is great! |

I had a session request a while ago. I accepted, and that’s when trouble began. I got into the new platform. After looking around I found the cam and sound button…clicked on it, and my comp froze….I mean completely froze. Had to reboot…..all in all I lost about 25 minutes. When I got back in my student had gone already….. |

I have just finished tutoring a session on the new platform and I must tell you that was awesome!!! It worked perfectly well. My student and I loved it! |

Another question: Is there also a Chat Log on the new platform? I am asking because there is no link to a chat log next to my students name in my ‘past sessions’. |

Yes I have the current version of Flash installed Jon. Christina, whenever I mess with any settings I will get the pop up that asks permission to access my camera or mic and everything freezes and no progression is made. I am wondering if this is a Windows Vista issue. Is there anyone out there with Windows Vista who has used the system successfully. I don’t have issues anywhere else. |

It’s worked perfectly so far for me on Mac OSX 10.5 – there’s just so much to learn! |
