I had asked earlier about having some more specific feedback as a tutor to help us improve. I noticed today that I have 6 students, but a 5 rating, which I thought meant that I got a middle rating with one student. However, I remembered that I actually never had a session with one of the pictured students. We both were logging in, but not seeing the other person in our room. If she didn’t rate me, could that be the reason my score is a 5?

Just curious if that is an issue to look into. If a student doesn’t rate you, does your rating go down?

It could be a lot of things. Possibly the student not leaving any feedback. Perhaps a “neutral” rating.

I agree that our feedback system is far less than ideal right now and it will likely undergo a revision shortly. I don’t think not receiving a positive from a single student is going to affect you all that much but if you’d like we can look into it further. :)

Tracy :)

I’ve had a few sessions where the student, for whatever reason wasn’t actually able to leave feedback. I think the first time it happened was because I exceeded the 90min cut off where the room used to close (doesn’t happen now btw).

As Jon said though, the whole scoring and feedback system has been talked about before and I’m sure in no time it’ll be even better. :)
