I’ve decided it was time. I’m in my early 30’s and would love to be able to learn Italian. This is a place I have been dying to go. Maybe one day, I will! I have a son who takes part in your site and figure if he’s going to get help with a language, then I have no excuses myself! I look forward to the adventure!

Thanks a lot you guys! That is really sweet of all of you. I just hope I can conquer this! If I had the opportunity to relocate to Italy, I would in a heartbeat. I’d love to see all of the greats like Rome and Milan but I really would love to see Sicily. A different time, you know? Even if I can never get over there as I live in the states, at least I can have the language. :)

Yes Siciliy indeed! I’ve never been. My mother comes from Benevento, (inland from Naples) and my father from NorthWest, (Liguria) so I’ve seen north hand south. I hope you get to see everything you want to. :)

Dawn, welcome to edufire. You are going to love this friendly community. The tutors are great and the videos and flash cards help as well. You’ll be speaking Italian in no time. I’d like to visit Italy as well. Maybe we’ll think of a plan together on getting there.

You’re right, Italy is a beautiful place and a wonderful place to visit. I’ve been there a few times, and was always reluctant to leave. The people are friendly and (in my experience) very understanding of the occasional language gaffe!

Hello Dawn! I’ve seen you on other forum threads, but here;s my official WELCOME TO EDUFIRE!!! :) I’ve had the oportunity to go to Italy and I agree, it’s a wonderful country! I’ve only visited Rome and two smaller towns (Sulmona and Arpino), but it was great! I will definitely go there again…. :)
