Hello fellow forum members, I just registered in edufire.com, I believe it’s a great site for anyone looking to have that extra boost of language for free, or go pro with an accesible fee (wow I just read that again and it rhymes). I am Leonel (Leo if you please), I am from Montevideo Uruguay, South America, as most south american countries my native language is Spanish, I’ve been keen on English since I was VERY young (my first english class was when I was 2 years old o_O), today I can “type” english “fluently” yet I can’t get my voice to be so fluent, so you may find me in the English Skype Group. I got here from Tofugu.com, koichi’s great videolog got me into it since I watched his Segata Sanshiro( Epic Japanese-Retro-Video Game-Figure) special video. As you can tell (or not!), I’m into languages, videogames, and possibly anime, so I shall answer you, yes I am into anime and all the above. Anime made me look into Japanese culture, such as music from the Soundtracks, and the language which I started learning by my own today online (thanks genkijapan.net and your awesome Hiragana Charts), then inscribed in a local Japanese-language teaching institution. I believe that covers everything in my introduction, I hope to be an active member of this community, forums and classes, I tought of teaching Spanish, but after I chose that I’m here for “learning only” it seems that can’t be changed/helped but making another account, so, I won’t teach spanish for now. See you around. |

Hey Leo! Wow, your written English is really great. I think a fluent sounding pronunciation just takes time and practice (I know that my own Japanese & Spanish accents could really use some work :P), but you’re definitely on the right track :) Good luck, and I’ll see you around! |
