Hi

My name is Zoe, I am English, live in France…..and yes….I’m another English teacher!

I have a TEFL diploma and several years of experience in teaching on a one to one basis, offering assistance with homework etc. and have held a few English conversation sessions locally. I also teach by telephone and using Skype or MSN.

I have been in France since June 2000. When I arrived I couldn’t speak much French; I learnt by living with and talking to French people. My man is French, he doesn’t speak English; we have 3 young children who are being brought up bilingual and I love teaching them.

I don’t profess to being an expert in the English language; I was brought up to speak properly (thank you mum!), so what I offer are English conversation classes with a REAL native English speaker. I won’t bore you with grammar and all that kind of thing….unless you want me to! My aim is to help with pronunciation.

Tell me what you want to learn. Suggest a topic of conversation. I will always do my best to cater to YOUR requirements.

Keep your eyes open, I am preparing my first class, my choice of subject, you’ll love it!!

Anyone who is interested in one to one sessions, please contact me.

Hope to hear from you all soon…..

Zoe

Bienvenue, Zoe! We’re your mirror image: An American married to a French lady, living in Florida. Our children are now 22 and 19; like you, we reared them bilingually. Thanks to a lot of work by my wife, plus a slew of videos, CDs, and – later – online resources, both are completely bilingual French/English (in spite of the fact that south Florida’s “second” language is Spanish! lol) So the effort is most definitely worth it! :)

Hi Zoe! Welcome to eduFire! I’m jealous that you live in France. I went to Paris for the first time this summer, and absolutely fell in love with the city. I hope to move back there one day. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! Good luck!

Hi Zoe! Nice to meet you:)

I’m glad to meet you here:) I’m a French native and living in France, but it’s not easy to meet some English people there, because they still together between English speakers:( It’s too bad! :(

This site already seems very welcoming for me:)

I’ve never really teach French, for the moment just correcting some writting and voice exercises on another site, this one is: Livemocha.com .

On this site, also I’m studying English and I try sometimes Italian too.

Unfortunately my level in Italian is so different!

In this case is very difficult study both:( At the moment I continue my studies in English there and at the same time on: anglaisfacile.com; on this one you can study until a level very advanced it’s more complete (you can prepar some exams…….etc)

I hope than my English isn’t bad and you can understand my conversation:) lol

Certainly there are some mistakes, I’m sure!

I will close now and I wish you a nice day:)

Steffy

Welcome Zoe. I understand you living in France, the weather is so much nicer there. I know what I’m talking about, I’m Scottish.

Hi again everyone and thanks again for your warm words of welcome.

Craig is right, the climate here is much better than the south coast of England, where I come from. It’s hot (often too hot) in the summer, however the winter can be quite a lot colder, it took me a few years to get used to that!

BUT, from my balcony I have a fantastic view of the Pyrenées: this morning I woke up to the most beautiful view of the first snow on the mountain tops. I have spent the rest of the morning digging out the warm clothes for the children….it might be beautiful, but it’s also a warning that winter is on the way!!

Ah, so you’re from the South-Coast. You don’t know what weather is then. :-p

I do now!!

I gather it gets a bit nippy in Scotland too. I’ve always fancied visiting Scotland actually but not yet had the opportunity…..
