That’s a bit unlike the rest, no?

I’m a semi-avid language learning enthusiast. I’ve studied a few languages for various periods of time, and happened to pick up a little here and there about others. Lately, I’m enthusiastic about Eastern languages, and intend to continue with Japanese and Korean for the foreseeable future. Eventually, I’d like to find time to fit Mandarin in there as well, but that may have to wait.

Other than that, here’s the formal list of languages I’ve studied:

French – 8 years (though it’s been a while, so I’m really rusty. Anyone want to volunteer a tutor to keep me fresh?)
German – 2 years (in High School, so, it’s been even longer)
Russian – 2 weeks (Had to drop the class to make room for other collegiate courses)
Japanese – 1.5 years, and currently resumed with Koichi C

Worked in some restaurants, so I’ve got a little Spanish (mostly rude), and I pick up phrases here and there of Latin and others.

Current interests are fueled by interest in incredible movies from Korea, Japan, and China.

Unfortunately, I’m not really qualified to teach anything, though I could probably hack it in English.

Otherwise, I’m really glad to have found this site, and I look forward to continue learning.

Oh, and a small question: “and I pick up phrases here and there of Latin and others.” – hear you meant Spanish spoken in South and Central America, not the Latin language, right? Sorry, I wince everytime I see the word, because I study (and tutor…) Latin i.e. the language used by the Romans in antiquity… :))
