Hi everyone at eduFire! My name is Dante… I’m from Massachusetts, USA! This is an introduction forum, right?… alright. Personally, I love music. But, it’s not really the kind of music you’d think a normal 15-year old might listen to… So it’s kind of embarrassing if you try to tell your friends in high school. >_< Nobou Uematsu is one of my idols. His compositions are amazing, and the games that go along with them… awesome. That’s the kind of music I listen to. I’m also into computers- I take Information Technology at my school. (I was lucky that there was a vocational school around my area.) It’s fun to code websites, databases, and the such, and I’m in my second year! I came here to learn Japanese. My dream is to become a great composer like Nobou Uematsu. (I apologize in advance if his name is spelled wrong. I’ve seen “Nobou” and “Nobuo”.) That’s not the only reason I want to learn it, though. From what I’ve seen, the culture in Japan is very… relevant to my interests. It’s amazing. And also, finally, although it may be the stereotypical “Why I want to learn Japanese” reason, I still enjoy manga and anime, and would love to be able to read them in Japanese as well. Well… that’s about it! Thanks for reading. -Dante |

Hi Dante, welcome to eduFire. I think you will find that it is easy to share these things about yourself here. It seems that primary & secondary school in the US tends to focus more on conformity than the actual education. It is hard when your interested don’t seem like the norm with your peers in this kind of situation. When my parents were considering buying me my first car I wanted a sedan (4 door). I ended up with a decent used Cadillac. I loved that car. We bought it from an elderly couple, and it was in excellent condition. We are lucky to have wonderful communities online where we can find people who match our interests and fully explore them. Welcome to our community, we look forward to getting to know you, as you are! |

I’m from Berkshire County- otherwise known as the most western part of Massachusetts. So, I’m no where near New Hampshire, pretty much. >.< |
