I hope you are getting better. Please let us know that you are fine from time to time. We had 2 bad earthquakes in Egypt a long time ago and I know how bad it is. I will tell you a funny story to cheer you up. When we had the earthquake for the first time, we have not known anything about them. I was sitting on my small table studying and I found that the table is moving. I was scared but I did not expect it was earthquake. I thought it was an animal like a dog is under the table. I just stayed silent and was even afraid to look under the table to see that BIG BIG animal. Then I found my brothers coming telling me there is an earthquake. Thank Allah that we all we safe and even the building we lived in. Cheer up Lily! Everything will be ok in sha Allah (God willing) |

Nice to see you again Lily! |

Hope you’re better now, Lily! :) Hamdy – I liked your story… big animal, huh? :)) |

Thanks Sandra, I was serious about it. I was doing my homework and found the desk was moving. I was eve scared to look down and see what was this. Then, I found my brothers told me that it was an earthquake ;) I also like your posts and your questions Sandra especially to Fikry. :D |

I believed you were serious! How old were you at the time? The last really big (with many victims and fallen buildings) earthquake that affected my country was in 1977 – I wasn’t born at the time… :) |

Earthquakes are scary. I lived through the big one in Mexico City in 1985. I personally know some people that were never found. One of them lived on a 9th floor, and the building was reduced to 3 levels. I also lived through hurricane Andrew in Miami in 1992….. I prefer hurricanes…..at least they let you know they’re coming |
It was on 1992 and I think it was the biggest one ever in the last 50 years in Egypt. The funniest thing was we have never had one before in our life. Most of the people thought it was the building where they live. Thank Allah that I survived :) |
