Help me, please… ありがとうございます ^ ^ |

When you try to write Japanese in the chat box what happens ? What do you see instead of Japanese ? |
I’ve seen a couple of these hayu, it appears to be browser related. Can you try with a different browser and let me know what happens. Thanks. |
Thanks, Kevin and Marco…. I used Mozilla Firefox before and I’ve tried to use the other browser but I still can’t read nor write Japanese characters on the class platform. |
What other browser did you try? |
@hayu, when you write Japanese in the chatbox inside a classroom it won’t show up in the chatbox until press enter. I am sure you haven’t noticed but as you type a very small window close to the bottom of you screen pops up where you preview what you are writing, when you are finished you hit enter. I know, it sucks. |

Forgive me if I’m mistaken, but it sounds like Hayu Putri can’t write her own japanese or read what japanese anyone else writes. “Okay, I couldn’t see anything when Nana and the other students wrote Japanese characters, I mean. It’s just blank.” |

Yes you’re right Michael. That is the issue. |

Maybe an upgrade of Flash would do something? Weird it works fine outside of Connect….and on the forums here as well…. I haven’t seen this before :( |
@Marco… I had tried with Internet Explorer and Mozila Firefox, but I still can’t read nor write Japanese characters in the chat box @Jorge… No no, I really had pressed ENTER after I wrote with Japanese Character. And I also tried to “copy-paste” Japanese word to the chat box,but all I saw is just blank. @Michael…. Yes, that’s exactly the problem ^^ @Koichi…. I have installed Adobe Flash Player 10. Yeah, it works really well on skype, EduFire forum, and on other pages I want to write on but not in the class platform. ありがとう、みんな |

It seems it has to do with your computer. I’ve never seen this problem, I’m assuming you’re using windows xp. If so, try this Go to your ‘Control Panel’ I’m not sure if this will work, but it won’t hurt to try. |
oowh…yeah, I had’t enabled that before but now I’ve done it. |
Thanks Michael! Let us know how it works Hayu! |

ayayayaaaa~…. |

Hayu, could you try with Google Chrome and see what happens please. Thanks. |

Well, that’s all very interesting. The most interesting thing is that you can otherwise type Japanese characters on your computer. I’m going to have a search on the Adobe forums Hayu and will message you. |

Hello. I’ve been having the same problem. I’ve posted this issue at another thread, and Wren showed me this page. I have followed the Michael’s advice, I’ve updated into Flash 10…. I’m still looking for another solution to this issue. I intend to use Google Chrome today to see how it goes. |

Hello, all! I finally figured out to fix this problem by chance today. It was nothing to do with updating the flash nor using another browser. I’m actually using a mini laptop, and haven’t been able to write nor read Japanese or Chinese. However, I made the platform full screen (just by going “Meeting” at the upper left corner, then click “full screen”), then all of a sudden I was able to read what my teacher was writing. I tried to write, and I was able to write it! I hope this information would help those who might have the same problem in the future. |
