Hi, everyone!

I still have a doubt about how to schedule one-on-one classes in Edufire. Do I have to choose ‘1 student’ when I create the class? Can you help me? Thanks in advance. Marc.

Hi Marc! Thanks for the question. This is how to have a one to one private session with a student-

Your student will click on ‘Request Tutoring’ which is on your profile page. They will request a session for a specific time and day. You will then have a notification of this request which you will either accept or you could propose a different day and time. Once the one to one session has been scheduled, you can access the session just as you do a class.

If you have any more questions, just let me know :)

Hi, Debbie!

Thanks for the information. Just one more question, this ‘Tutoring’ is free or is it possible to request a payment form the student? Thanks! Marc.

Hi Marc!

My name is Ron Smith and I am a fellow tutor and Ambassador here on eduFire. There are no free 1:1 private sessions available on eduFire. The amount set by the tutor must be paid in order to conduct a private session.

And by the way…. Welcome to eduFire!

Hi Marc! One to one private tutoring has a minimum fee of $10
For example, I see that you are charging $10 for your Spanish which is the minimum that you can charge someone. (You can change that rate) A student has to pay before entering the classroom.

EDIT: Ron and I were posting at the same time :)

I wanted to add on to this topic.
Can I have for example a limit of 5 students per class ?

Mary you can set the number of students allowed to sign up for each class. However, if you want five students you may want to consider making the number of students 10. This can help in case some do not show up even though they have already signed up for your class.
