If you’re new to learning Japanese like myself, I’m not trying to say anything bad about any of the tutors on edufire im sure they’re all great at their resective subjects. But I think you should use Koichi as your tutor. e.g why; i’ve ony taken one lesson and I was, am so far behind everyone else I was sure that i wouldn’t understand a thing lol. But he teaches in such a way, even if you know absoloutely nothing you get the gist of it for the most part and by the end of the lesson you feel you’ve progressed. Plus he’s funny ^^

Anyone that’s seen his youtube or whatever can testify to that lol.

Thanks Kaylan, I appreciate it!

I on the other hand, don’t recommend myself, and instead recommend all the other Japanese tutors. Everyone here is amazing, and I’d recommend people take advantage of the wide range of tutors available, too!

I wish to learn Japanese with you Koichi and I registered in your free class, but the time of the class isn’t suitable for me. However I’ll try to attend and learn with you in addition to the other Japanese tutors here. You’re all amazing.

Koichi don’t be so modest. You’ve taken college courses to aide you in this sort of thing and you currently have one of the best (wonky) Japanese blogs out there. Also, I plan to take some lessons with you in the near future! So expect me!

If this is a “stick up for your tutor” thread then I feel obliged to also recommend NaNa for Japanese xD. But in all fairness I don’t think it matter which tutor you pick on edufire, I certainly can’t place some above others!

Certainly, all the tutors are capable of doing great things, but some people are more well acquainted with certain people, thus making it easier to communicate rather than being mindless zombies attending classes.

And, of course, different teachers teach different things. Someone may like the techniques used by said teacher or maybe they teacher a certain sub-subject of Japanese that they need.

every teacher has their own style and method of teaching. I know I will try various teachers before making a decision on whom I will learn from.
