Hello everybody! I’m still surprised that there aren’t any Cambridge ESOL tutors/classes registered here at eduFire. I mean, the platform is ideal for these kind of half-standardized exam formats! An online class of 3-5 students would be great for the “Use of English” and “Reading Comprehension” papers, while pairs of two students with a tutor could replicate the “Speaking” part. And there are lots of other possibilities! And because the registration for the December session would begin soon, I was thinking of doing a class about these exams, with information for both students and teachers who would like to tutor future candidates here on eduFire. I think it would be a great opportunity for both the tutors and eduFire, if only we could find the students – which shouldn’t be difficult, considering that, according to the British Council websie, there are more than 1 million candidates each year! So, guys, what do you think? |

Sandra! Thanks for your idea. Nice to see you around the forums. By the way, for those of you that don’t know Sandra. She’s one of the greatest, most beloved members of this community. |

Hi, I think it’s a great idea too. I enjoy teaching exam classes and I’ve done lots of classroom teaching for PET, FCE and CAE but haven’t taught them online yet. Corina |

I could’ve sworn there was a tutor who introduced himself not too long ago who had ESOL and a few years of experience under his belt. |

Hi again, guys! :) Going to the local British Council office today to collect my own CPE certificate made me think about this thread again…. As far as I know, registrations for the winter exams have just closed last week, so now’s a good time for students to find a tutor and for teachers to start thinking about tutoring Cambridge ESOL candidates! So I’ll be posting a general information class here soon…. :) |

(should have started with this): Thanks for all the kind replies!!! :) Enrique – (((blush))) Unfortunately, as I didn’t spent too much time here on eduFire, I kinda lost the contact with the community. I’ll do my best to drop by more often from now on…. Lyne – I missed you too! And he community in general! ;) Mr. Azeez – Thanks! :D Mair – Thank you! And do watch out, I’ve decided to really do the class…. Corina – Hi! Nice to meet you! Of course, you don’t need any information about the exams, but I would love it if you could join and share some of your experiences with us! Or, you could do a class about it yourself, I would surely take it! Jeremiah – Hi! I don’t know who you’re talking about, but nice to meet you! :) |

Hi Sandra – I’ll be happy to join the general information class to help give advice about the exams. But, I’m going on holiday for about 2 weeks from 11 October and am really busy getting ready for it at the moment so don’t have much time until after I get back on 25th. |
