Q: What is the “Classes Forum”? A: The Classes Forum is a place to discuss classes that are upcoming or classes that you are previously taken. You are welcome to ask questions, provide suggestions for material to be covered, interact with other students taking the class, etc. Q: Isn’t that what the Class Wall is for? :) A: Yes, sort of. But the Class Wall doesn’t have as much functionality as the forums. For instance it’s tougher to post links, there aren’t email notifications when new messages are posted, etc. You are welcome to post messages to the Wall but more in-depth conversations are better had here. Plus, by having the conversation happen here it’ll be easier to access in the future. Q: Can I post my class here? A: Actually we’d prefer that you not. Over the next week we’re going to be posting classes here and soon all new classes will have their own thread in this forum. To avoid duplicate threads for classes and keep formatting consistent we will be deleting any new threads that are started by teachers here (sorry…it’s better for everyone that way!). Q: Is this a permanent feature of the forums? A: Honest answer, we’re not sure yet. :) We’re going to try this out for a few weeks and see how it goes. If this proves useful for fostering discussion around classes then we’ll likely keep it. If not, we may switch to a different method. We won’t delete posts though so you don’t have to sweat that. :) |

What do CST in the class schedules stand for? |
Hi Feliciano, nice to meet you. CST stands for Central Standard Time. If your profile is set correctly though to your time zone, all classes will be listed in your local time. If you have any problems, just let me know :) Also, be sure to attend an orientation session! click here |
