Writing effectively is unbelievably important. How we write influences how others perceive us and often determines whether we succeed or not.

If you begin your sales pitch, your article, or your profile in a way that falls short of compelling the reader to keep reading, it’s as if the remainder of your writing doesn’t even exist.

There is, of course, a solution to this circumstance and that’s starting your writing off with a bang; making your opening so compelling that the reader has no choice but to dig deeper into your copy.

That’s what my class is going to be on. I’m going to give you many time-tested techniques that will significantly increase the likelihood that those who start your material don’t finish with the first line.

On the contrary, it will be the first line that compels them to read further, which is of course our goal. There’s nothing worse than having something important, something grand to say and yet having readers never get to the goods because the opening line didn’t provoke them to read any further.
