I just saw “Tortoise” play live in Athens last weekend, they were fantastic, they blew my mind!

Hello everyone, Ive been playing acoustic guitar since I was 20, 3 years, mostly self taught and from friends. I also dabble on piano and write songs. Ive been studying music theory for about 3 years as well.

One area I’m particularly interested in is improv. what makes a great solo great? How can we all improve our solo’s?

i played the piano for about 12 years but haven’t played in about 7 years. really want to get back into it. also played a bit of clarinet and i know the absolute basics of the guitar..
