Everyone Needs a laugh, and education is much better when its fun! Lets learn though jokes and smiles!
Laughing kittens — nice icon. I like laughing kittens. :)
I imagine we each have our own ideas about what’s comedic, and our own unique sense of humor. This is my offering:
Several computer giants are competing for the allegiance of my small netbook. My Google toolbar offered to import my Microsoft favorites, and then Microsoft told me it could post to Blogger for me, using Windows Live. I clicked on the Windows Live icon out of curiosity even though I don’t have an account. Lo and behold, a Messenger showed up, and, like a genie sprung from a bottle, it refused to leave. I clicked on the Messenger’s ‘X’ and it told me that, just in case I were to need something, it would still be running in my system tray. I was writing a blog entry in Microsoft Works, offline, when an ad appeared for Hotmail — ‘Get it now!’ — with a picture of a guy whopping himself in the head like he just realized he could have had a V-8. So then the other day, I was installing a security program that Radio Shack had given me as a promotional giveaway… I unchecked a couple boxes as the program was installing. If I hadn’t unchecked those boxes, you know what the security suite was planning to do? It was fixing to set Yahoo as my homepage and install my new Yahoo toolbar…
@Ricardo..this isn’t a Japanese group. This group is for anyone who likes to laugh
LOL..Ricardo, that was funny! I know someone that would do that! Thank you for sharing.
It was a drunk guy walking down the street when suddenly sees a corpse under a phone booth and he decides to call the police.
“Good night, Police Departmet What is the problem?”
“I found a corpse” It says the drunk
“Are you sure is dead?”
“Yes I’m pretty sure”
“Ok, What is the address?”
“Wait a moment, I’ll call you back”
So the drunk runs to see the street name and hurried back to the phone and redial.
“Good night, Police Department, What is your problem?”
“I’m the one of the corpse”
“Ok sir, What is the address?”
“Eeeh….wait, let me see again”
He goeas again and returns repeating the street name in his mind.
“Good night, Police Department, What is your problem?”
“I’m the one of the corpse”
“Oooo yes you,Ok sir What is the address?”
“Aammm mmm….Oooh $&$ I forgot it again”
So this repeat like twelve times
“Good night, Police Department, What is your problem?”
“I’m the one of the corpse”
“Oh you again, What is the address?”
“Olvera street”
“And why you didn’t say it before is not a difficult name.”
“Well the name of the other street was so difficult so I moved the corpse to this one”
:)
We Egyptian people like kidding so much, and we’ve many jokes. For example, once there’s a so dull pupil. He always gets the last grade in his class. So his parents moved him to another class to be the only pupil in that class, but he also gets the last grade of his class:D
Ah, the wonders of communicating in Japanese w/o saying a word.

Let’s emit together with smile on your face,
Do re mi fa PU PU PU, Waah~
No matter is father’s or mother’s,
they are all the same fart anyway.

There is an old English joke my teacher told me once. It’s terrible but…
“Why six are afraid of seven?”
- because seven eight nine
(try speaking it out loud and you will understand)
Aha! I knew I would find the perfect group!
I’m not sure if everyone is aware, but I happen to be a master of dajare. Yes. 僕はだじゃれの達人です。
たとえば:
What do you call a origami owl folded out of a brown paper bag?
紙ぶくろう
HAHAHAHA!
Okay, an explanation for those of you saying “え?”
As you may know, the Japanese word for a paper sack is 紙袋 (かみぶくろ). Well, an owl is, incidentally, called a ふくろう. So, it’s kind of funny to combine the two; you get a little origami owl folded out of a paper bag.
HAHAHAHA. HAHAHA.
HAHAHA.
HAHA.
HA.
…
So, am I, like, totally alone here? Please validate my incredible joke. Don’t let me laugh alone.
Great group idea! Cute cat photo. =^..^=
I hope my Siamese neko will learn how to laugh in Japanese. She has pawtential.
Here is a funny little one I used to remember a few hiragana: の (no) – Depending on font, it reminds me of the univeral “no” symbol. Most commonly used for “No Smoking”. む (mu) – This one may be a bit of a stretch, but I see this one as a cow, looking to the left, big loop is her nose, line on top is her ears and the angle up top of the right I see has her tail, silly I know. く (ku) – This one I remember as being just part of a ‘K’. I have a few more, I’ll bring up later :)
Hey guys! I love the idea of this group! Learning is indeed much more efficient when you have a laugh or two…
Believe it or not, there are even jokes related to Latin (the ancient language that I’m obsessed with):
“Cicero the orator was giving a political speech in the Roman forum. A guys arrived 15 minutes late and he asks the person next to him:
‘Did I miss something important?’
The other asks: ‘No, he hasn’t gotten to the verb yet!’”
This point to the fact that, in Latin, the verb is usually placed at the end of a complex sentence. Cicero is an author known for his loooong and complicated sentences, so he might as well say a complex sentence in 15 minutes… :)
What jokes do you guys know about other languages?

You are right, laugh is like tonic. I am told basically when you laugh our chest expands and contracts and this helps the breathing excercise. The air come out our mouth. Laugh enhances our longivity /life span. It helps you to forget the stress at that time.
best wishes.
