Welcome Yoel! Thanks for the introduction. I look forward to seeing you around eduFire :)
Hi Pierre-Alex,
Yes streaming a video via screen sharing wont give you good results. If you can convert the segment of video that you want to play into either a .flv or .swf file, then you can upload it into the Share pod and that will work just fine.
Hi everyone! That is correct, payments are sent around around the 5th of each month and the payments will arrive shortly as per the email that was sent out a couple of days ago.
Thanks so much!
I know, a bit pretentious but I can’t help it. Although I’d been using online services like Compuserve and BIX to both learn and teach during the 80’s, I really didn’t take it serious until September 1994. That’s when I launched my company Learning Online (LearnSkills.com). Although we started too early with too little capital, like a lot of the initial startups, it was a wild ride and we had the thrill of pioneering an entire new industry – commercial professional training via the Internet.
Since then I’ve both taught and trained in various commercial training programs and local colleges, primarily Software Engineering related subjects. Even in my “conventional” classes I added an online dimension to “extend” the learning experience 24/7. As long as participants had access they could learn!
Now semi-retired, it was exciting to see where online learning has arrived. The tools Edufire.com have adopted to facilitate online classroom learning are absolutely amazing. I’m still learning the ropes of how to package and organize any courses I’d like to deliver, but for someone involved in online learning since the mid 80’s, Edufire.com is a very exciting development and one I hope I’ll be part of for years to come.
