Esperanto

This group is dedicated to all things Esperanto!

Esperanto is an artificial/planned language created in 1887 by L.L. Zamenhof. His reason? To promote peace and understanding through a language easy to learn and accessible to all.

Esperanto is NOT meant to replace any native language. The language is actually specifically made to be a second language. An international auxiliary language.

The language is beautiful and yet very easy to learn. It can also serve as a foundation language when learning other ones!

This is the group if you want to learn more and find resources about Esperanto.

I’m happy because:
1) My mom’s knee surgery came out well. She’ll be back home tomorrow.
2) I just finished a class, and I’m truly admired at how much progress my sudents have made.
3) I’m ready for corporate clients.

Let’s have a fun, interesting conversation about dealing with aliens in German. Talking about a topic like this with a group of friends will be fun and relaxing – you won’t even notice how much German you’ll speak! Learn new words, meet new people and leave with new confidence in your abilities.

This class is for intermediate and advanced speakers of German who want speaking practise.

I usually wait 15 minutes. But, if I have a class immediately after, or very soon after, I’ll wait 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, the “Join Now” button disappears, so the student could not get in anyway.

Here it is.

Do you want to learn German in an easy and angst-free way? This course will teach you the basics, enough to get by as a tourist in Germany. I took special care to make it 90% grammar-free, and the rest of the grammar will be very easy to grasp – I have a talent for explaining it.

We will cover the following topics:
- pronunciation & spelling
- greetings
- introducing yourself
- asking questions and answering
- talking about hobbies, likes and dislikes
- talking about your plans for today and tomorrow
- expressing what you need and what you want
- making requests
- overcoming communication problems
- convincing people
- understanding German even when you don’t know all the words

This class is suitable for absolute beginners, but you are welcome if you have some previous knowledge of German as well, as long as you need help on the topics above.

Every session will be recorded so that you can review it later.

About me: I’m a native German speaker with several years of experience teaching German to foreigners online and offline. I have almost completed a degree in linguistics and meanwhile I am employed as the project manager / lesson writer / podcast host for GermanPod101.com, teaching German to English speakers through podcasts.
