Thanks Koichi for starting this group.
I have recently joined this group.
Check out my class on Hindi for Beginners.
Hi, check out my page @ http://twitter.com/Kristina_Kli . German-English vocabs and quizzes on Germany.
Inspiration implies passion, I agree! I think we are inspired by greatness, in whatever context, and that may not be something we can achieve. For example, I may be inspired by a wonderful musician, but not motivated to learn how to play since I know I’ll never be as good as him.
Motivation is a call for action. Motivation makes us want to achieve something and we set realistic goals.
@Ron: do you run the Audio wizard every time? Isn’t it set once it’s been run successfully?
Wow!!! That is a huge picture! Thank you Ron.
@ Alaia I love this poem a lot too. I guess I have the characteristic of the lotus but I can only survive if all around me are ‘lotus’ as well and that is why I am on eduFire! :)
@Amar…. I don’t want to sound like the wise old grandfather talking to someone from the younger generation, but in many ways I once felt the same way you did in regards to having only thirty minutes to upload all my class materials. However, after a while you manage to, as Alaia spoke of, doing all of this in your sleep. Then you will start wondering what to do with the extra time!
In regards to the PowerPoint slides they will be considerably larger than your originals because these files are images on top of the slides rather than text and perhaps small images embedded in the file. But I have had as many as 52 slides before and had no problems uploading the file.
I know many of the people who have posted here recommend uploading your presentation files prior to turning on the camera or the microphone. I understand what they are saying, but what I have learned to do is to run the audio set-up wizard as soon as I log on to the Adobe Connect platform. I then upload my class presentations, starting with the PowerPoint presentation first. This is done not only because it is most often the largest file, but I tend to think it is the second most important element of my class. My eduFriends who attend my class need to hear me (most important) and they also need to be able to see my presentation as well. For the style of class I teach there is very little need to see me on webcam, therefore I rarely turn it on.
Another suggestion to help make your class preparation time less hectic…. If you use the Note Pod to give additional information for your class such as websites for additional information on the subject you are teaching, type these in a simple text editor beforehand. Then, at class time simply cut and paste the information into the Note Pod. You can also place this information into a PowerPoint slide listed as Additional Resources and can be an excellent way to help end your class.
@Everybody…. I am planning to add more simple How-To videos regarding using the Adobe Connect Pro platform in the very near future if enough people find it is helping them. None of these presentations are scripted or heavily edited; it is just me talking as I do the actions while recording. If there is something you want to perhaps see then please let me know.

Don’t think there’s a big problem with education? OK, watch this video…
Would love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks Francisco, I’ll be checking it out too as soon as I have time. That’s in short supply tonight.

But I did get that up.
Francisco, though I think you greatly misunderstand the content, you have given me a great deal of motivation to use that blog to explain some things that are indeed in need of explaining, so I thank you very much.
I’d hoped to advertise my classes at eduFire, yes, and in the future, my eBook for Sun Tzu’s “The Art of War” (based on my PowerPoint series) but, the content requires more explanation. I’ll keep you posted.
