Congratulations eduFire on getting the spam under control. The site looks much more respectable today :-) Long may it continue.

Marco and Debbie,
You were the heart and soul of eduFire.
The community will be so bereft without you.
I am sad to see the end of an era, but glad there are new opportunities for you both.
Take care,
Mair

How to Teach Online
If you want to attend this class or any other eduFire class, please make sure you have set your time zone correctly in your profile – you can get to your profile via the ‘Edit Profile’ link on this page:
My eduFire
If you have set your time zone correctly, the times of the classes will all appear correctly in your own time zone too. Go to the My eduFire page half an hour before the class and you will see a ‘Join Now’ link which will take you into class.

Although classes are sometimes free here on eduFire, it is important to only sign up if you really mean to attend. Otherwise the tutor may waste valuable time preparing and waiting for you.

Happy teaching!

You are right that some have sessions to come Marco, but it used to be that the next session date in the future (not the expired one) would show automatically once a class had passed and the ones with no sessions left (and there are some) would disappear automatically too. I am sure it didn’t used to take several days for this to happen ….

I can see what you mean Ayesha – there are still some classes visible from the 18th 19th and 20th November even though it is now the 21st …. hopefully it will get sorted soon ….

… well not for me anyway. When I do a site search using the box over to the top right, I get a bump in the road. This is the same whether I am logged in or not. Hope it can be fixed soon.

I think, as a tutor, I am responsible for saying things in ways which make it as easy as possible for my students to understand them and for continuing to work with them to find ways to understanding if my initial explanation isn’t clear to them …. my students are responsible for listening carefully and feeding back as clearly as they can to me what they have understood and what still causes them difficulties so we can keep working together towards full understanding ….

Under the name of the person (either in their profile or here on the forum) you can see a link to ‘Send Message’. Usually these messages get sent to them on eduFire and can be picked up on their ‘Inbox link’ and will also be forwarded to the email they used to sign up. However, at the moment, I don’t think email forwarding is working so messages can only be picked up by logging in. Since not everyone does this regularly it is probably better to email them using their email address if you have it.
Best of luck ….
