Professional Wedding and Event Photographer

I started my wedding and event photography four years ago. The challenges and demands of professional photography pushes me to stay current on many of the latest trends and technology in the field of digital photography.

Writing regularly about digital photography and Apple computer software for sites like Photo.net, Applematters.com, and MyMac.com also keeps me current on the subjects of advance camera techniques, image management and image process software (such as Photoshop CS3, Aperture 2.0, and Adobe Lightroom), and the sheer art of digital photography in general. I expert knowledge of Apple’s iLife programs, including iPhoto, iMovie, Aperture, Final Cut Express, and iDVD.

My twelve years as an high school teacher also makes me well aware of not having knowledge of a subject, but also knowing to teach and break down lessons so they are understandable to my students.

My passion for photography goes beyond business. I’m currently doing a year-long daily photography, self-portrait, and street portrait project that truly challenges and inspires me as a photographer.
If you’re serious about becoming a better photographer, I can’t recommend enough doing a photo-a-day project. Just the commitment to such a project itself will help you learn your camera and develop a photographer’s eye for good subjects.

Digital Image Processing and Management

Because I do photography on a professional level, I’m constantly developing my skills in digital image processing and the management of digital photos.

I have skills in using Apple’s iPhoto, Aperture 2.0, Photoshop CS 2, 3, and 4. I don’t have Photoshop Elements installed on my computer yet, but I may be able to offer assistance in learning that program has well.
