I have been teaching language professionally for 20 years. I taught Russian in colleges and universities for many years and have spent a lot of time in that country. I currently live just outside of DC and teach ESL in a community college. I am also licensed and certified to teach ESL in the public school system. I work hard to make sure that my classes are creative and interesting. My favorite things to teach are reading, writing and grammar. I also teach a lot of TOEFL preparation courses and can teach you how to write a great test essay! I like to mix popular culture, history, and folklore into my classes, so I often use things like movie clips and news shows. I value my students’ time and always want them to feel like they are learning something new and interesting.
