Luis is a great teacher! He geared our classes to what we most wanted to learn and to what our Spanish level was. His English is phenomenal, which enables him to teach more effectively. He is creative in classes, using music and stories to teach. Mostly, he is a super friendly and nice guy, which makes it easy to learn from him because it's just like you are talking to a good friend the whole time. I definitely recommend him to any level of Spanish speaker!!

Luis is an excellent teacher. He has mastered both english and his native spanish. So he is able to cator to students individuals needs, whatever your learning curve. We were roomates for about 2 months while I was staying in Peru, and he is a great guy as well as a great teacher.

Luis' ability to convey the material was unprecedented. In the few weeks that he was my Spanish professor, I learned a great deal about the language and had a blast in his class.

I studied Spanish with Luis in Cusco, Peru during Summer 2007. Looking back on the 8 weeks I spent in Peru, the class I took with Luis was one of the best experiences I had during my stay. As a beginner in Spanish, Luis was a very patient and thorough teacher. I felt that he led by example and truly engaged all of the students on a personal level. It was obvious that he was very knowledgeable and had a real passion for teaching others. In the classroom Luis organized group activities and learning games to make Spanish fun and interesting, while also helping the students retain the information we learned. Overall, I feel that Luis is an excellent teacher and would highly recommend him to others.
