About Me

I graduated from Colorado State University with a BS in Business Administration in 2001, and from the University of Colorado with a BA in Japanese in 2008.

I have three years experience working at Hewlett Packard and started studying Japanese as a way to bridge a new, international career.

I have studied Japanese for about three years and spent one of those years studying at Kansai Gaidai University in Hirakata City, Japan. Currently, I am feverishly working towards taking the JLPT 1 and studying Japanese at ARC Academy in Namba, Osaka City, Japan.

My girlfriend Keiko and I make quite the pair, and as native speakers ofJapanese and English respectively, we can address the needs of any level of Japanese proficiency.

As a student of Japanese, I am aware of the many pitfalls English speakers face with learning this wildly different language. Let me share with you my insight into self study, what works, what does not, and—most importantly—how to keep Japanese learning fun.
