Tutor
I’m a Junior-to-be 16 year old in the Midwest of the United States of America. My name is Shelbi, though I’ve been called a variety of things like Shelbs and Shell, so whichever you want to call me is fine!
For my Sophmore year of high school I studied abroad in Japan, and took 4 years of Japanese through private lessons before that. I believe I have a good enough grasp of the language to teach up through high-intermediate Japanese.
I’ll also teach English as a Second Language and possibly Beginners Korean once I up my vocabulary in that.
Things I’m interested in:
Music: ジャニーズ事務所のみんな(Everyone from Johnny’s Entertainment): 特にKis-My-Ft2とその他のJr. (Especially Kis-My-Ft2 and other Jrs), flumpool, Radwimps, とりあえずなんでも好きですよ(basically I like everything).
Movies: Oyayubisagashi, Angels and Demons
Books: 恋空 (Koizora), books by Tamora Pierce, books by Stephanie Meyer
Hobbies: computers, translating, learning languages, listening to music, reading

Shelbi is an amazing teacher! She's very considerate and goes over the information clearly. I never thought I would be able to learn so much Korean in such a short amount of time. Although she says she's also learning as she teaches, she seems to know her stuff well enough to explain it very well and make sense. She's really nice and answers any questions. It's really rare to find such a young person who is so friendly and intelligent and able to teach what she knows. :]
Shelbi is an awesome teacher! During class, she speaks loudly and clearly, so it's very easy to hear how she's pronouncing the words. She presented the information in a way that was very easy to understand, even if you had never heard spoken Japanese in your life before. Shelbi gave a lot of very useful information in a short amount of time, so her lessons are incredibly beneficial, and good for anyone who wants/needs to learn Japanese in a short amount of time.
Shelbi taught the first online class I attended here.
She went through the material slowly so that everyone understood it and explained it in an efficient manner. She was polite, easy to get along with, and answered (and encouraged!) questions.
It was definitely a great lesson! I'll be sure to attend more of her online lessons.
