What a terrific teacher! The only way to learn Mandarin is one on one...and to have someone who is professional and patient -- like Leo! I started my lessons with intensive Berlitz training -- and Leo's lessons are equal to that great experience. Leo also provides audio files...critical for practice on your own. Learning Chinese can be fun and exciting -- Wei lǎo shī makes it so!

Leo (Li Bing) has been teaching me Mandarin informally since early this year, before he commenced teaching on Edufire. He has good teaching skills, his pronunciation of standard Mandarin is very good and he is excellent at explaining how the language is used and at providing examples. I regret that I have not, until recently, dedicated enough time to learning Mandarin, much to Leo's frustration. We have become good friends and I have grown to respect his dedication to his major at University, - Teaching Mandarin to Foreigners. Leo's understanding of English is very good and he has made an effort to understand many aspects of Western cultures. This is important as the traditional Chinese approach to education is very different to what most Westerners are used to. Leo adapts his teaching style to the needs of the student and to the student's ability and interests.
