About Me

I am not currently accepting any new students at the moment. Please check back occasionally for updates! If you’d like to talk so I can help you find a good Japanese tutor here on eduFire, we can do that as well! Before you request a lesson, please be sure you have at least a microphone, and preferably a camera as well. It’s hard to teach anything when I can’t hear your pronunciation ; )

With every session, I’ll work with you on any subject (though I have lesson plans as well) and will create some personalized homework for you that I’ll correct before the next time we meet! Please see my schedule below for available times.

Testimonials

Chris D Koichi is an absolutely phenomenal tutor! He quickly assessed the level I was at in my studies and educated me without overlapping on things I had already known. He was extremely friendly and comical which made it easy to keep focused on his lesson. Throughout the session he used props and real life examples to make the information practical. He was even courteous enough to extend our lesson because I had shown up late due to technical difficulties. Truly Professional! If you are looking to study Japanese, I highly recommend Koichi!

Fiona Murphy Koichi is a great tutor. He kept the tutoring lesson very engaging using slideshows and props when introducing new words and sentences as well as clearly explaining word meanings and their usage. The session was very enjoyably and friendly. He also send me a worksheet of what was covered in the lesson and an audio file which as help me greatly with reviewing what was covered in the session and improving my pronunciation. I would highly recommend him as a tutor.
