This was a great tutoring session. I have taken one-on-one language classes before and have always felt drained after lengthy sessions, but not this one. I learned a lot, was appropriately challenged and yet at the end of class I had more energy than when I started. She is a very skilled teacher and very pleasant to work with. I look forward to the next session.

Nana understand what it takes to learn a language, and knows how to give a great lesson, and explain everything well. I recommend her as one of the best language teachers, not only as teaching the language itself, but actually keeping the information in your brain, no matter how much time may pass without a lesson.

Na is extremely patient and supportive. I had only one session with her, and though it was much harder that I expected she gave me enough enthusiasm and encouragement to keep trying. I have very limited time to practice, but I’ll be ready to go back in a few days for more. No doubt a great tutor, Na does not cut corners, a must if you are looking to start right.

Nana is very thorough in her lesson and she makes sure to answer any questions you have. She gets you involved in the lesson. If you make mistakes she helps you to correct them and later reviews what you have gone over to make sure your mistakes have all been corrected. Also, the things she teaches you are relevant to everyday life! I would recommend her !

She really helped me get an understanding of the nuances of Japanese, the sort of social ways of speaking that they don't teach you in school. She's also very patient :) Highly recommended.

This is my first time with Na Na. She is calm and very efficient with teaching Japanese to her students. She knew exactly what I had to work on and knew what to do exactly. Just had my first class with NaNa sensei and my first ever edufire class. I was really impressed. NaNa sensei was able to assess my level very quickly and then proceeded to give a lesson that was challenging but still within my ability level. Throughout the class, she firmly corrected any mistakes I made and there was a real sense of progression to the content of the class. I also think it's great that at the end of the class you have a full set of notes already typed up which you can use to review the class. She assigned some great homework too, one part involving a youtube video of a Japanese comedian and answering questions about the skit. I definitely plan on taking more classes with NaNa sensei and can recommend her without hesitation.

I have never found a more capable teacher, for learning japanese in a fun and discipline way. ^^

Nana先生 is such a great teacher. She prepares every minute of her lesson leaving no "down" time. She is extremely helpful both in class and outside of class. You will walk away from each lesson having learned an incredible amount of 日本語。

It's funny - I come into class feeling like a dozy idiot and babbling すみません and もう一度言ってください, but NaNa presses on (in Japanese, almost never in English) until it clicks. Yet again, I've come out feeling like I've learnt a lot and that maybe I don't completely fail at Japanese : ) ありがとう、NaNaさん！

Another lesson with NaNa-Sensei... I won't leave feedback after each session,but i will say that she is awesome to learn from. She seems to take an interest in seeing me succeed that i have not gotten from any other teacher and that is just the type of personal touch you want from a teacher. I am a slow but steady learner and she adapted to me in less then 3 sessions. What more can you ask for? She is patient,courteous,kind and firm. Every lesson i feel im getting better and better. Nana always prepares every aspect of the lesson in advance so no time is ever wasted. Pictures and learning aids are always on hand to make the lessons more fun :)

Na is teaching me many new things and I am learning a lot.

It has been probably like my sixth class with Nana and I cannot emphasize enough the efficiency and the fun way that she teaches. She makes Japanese a very fun easy to learn (working hard too) Japanese, and to not be afraid of the language. Thank you Nana!

As always my lesson with Na sensei was so educational. She has an ability to key in on the areas that needs to be worked on. I will continue taking lessons with her & would highly recommend her as a tutor.

Wow is the word of the day. She covered so much ground with me and her method is very easy to follow. She is very friendly and patient, I like that she corrects you without making you feel like an idiot,even though i still felt silly when i messed up. I would recommend NaNa-Sensei to anyone that wants a GREAT teacher with a firm sense of teaching direction. I am already trying to figure out how long it will take me to memorize what i have just learned so i can schedule my next lesson with her! Bottom line, A+++++++,i would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat whether they are a beginner or intermediate.

Na's lesson was outstanding. I had a lot of fun and I was sufficiently challenged. This was my first eduFire lesson and I was very nervous as I didn't know what to expect. But, Na-sensei was very patient with my Nihongo (which is heta at best) and provided plenty of feedback and constructive criticism to help me. All in Nihongo of course! All in all it was a great experience and I will look forward to my next lesson with Na-sensei. The private instruction format is very helpful and I am confident that my proficiency will grow as I continue my courses especially with an instructor like Na-sensei.

Another good class. I felt like I learned a lot. I went in feeling very shaky about my hiragana and came out feeling quite confident about it, even though I'm not 100% with hiragana, after NaNa's class I feel I can get there pretty soon.

I've just finished an hour lesson with Namika, and it was a blast! She can flow so easily, back and forth from our lesson to expanding on points I need to work on, or branching out to bits of Japanese culture. Nanikasan is a highly professional and polished language teacher! I learned some techniques I can bring to the students in my own language classroom, as well as here on Edufire. She patiently worked with me through some technical difficulties at the beginning.そろそろ日本語も教えてください。

I think Nana did an excellent job in determining what I needed the most work on and directing me, so that I can improve and become more effiicient.

Although Namika has great expectations that I will build on each new thing I am learning, she also understands that occasionally I am not always as prepared as I'd like to be, and she always has a dynamic plan to keep our classtime as productive as possible. This is an excellent quality in an teacher.

I really enjoyed my very first lesson ever on edufire, and was very fortunate to have it with Na Na. She was very organised and prepared for the lesson, and knew what i needed to know and what i needed help on most. Although i had a few technical problems as it was my first time, but once i sorted that out it was all smooth. Namika-sensei makes learning fun and effective! She seems to understand just what I need to do to improve my Japanese, and if I am making grammar mistakes she very gently (but insistently!) corrects me! Her lessons are terrific!

I had my first lesson today with Na and as soon as the lesson started I was transferred to a world of Japanese. I had never had to speak Japanese to others before, but Na had me immersed in it so fast! She knows what she's doing and makes the best use of your time together. I already requested another lesson! My first Japanese lesson with Na Na was great! It was an 80 min session and the time flew by. Her teaching is interactive and engaging. I would definitely recommend her and will be coming back for another session soon.

Na Na is a really thorough prepared and professional tutor. Far better than the in person private lessons I have had in Tokyo. Our time was well utilized and her solid English skills really help when you are in a jam and don't exactly understand something.

Today I had my second session with Na Na and Im sorry to say, this time I felt like a total idiot, I didnt understand anything and I got everything wrong, in no way is this Na Na:s fault but I think I maybe have to take this a little bit more serious and actually study hard inbetween classes if I should have chance to learn anything. As usual she was very structured and well prepared, maybe I wasnt :(

Namiko wasn't sure of my exact speaking/reading level when we had our first lesson. She was able to instantly tailor my skill level and needs...it was amazing! I'm looking forward to future lessons with here. She's the perfect teacher for complete beginners as well as advanced students. I also like all of the supplementary material she sends, but there is no pressure to complete everything when my schedule gets over-busy.

Na Na is EXTREMELY helpful, and a very good teacher. I have zero experience with the language, and she had me asking some fairly basic questions with some very, very rudimentary improvisation by the end of my first lesson, and she is also very helpful and willing to answer and questions you may have. I can't recommend her enough -- she seems like a very nice person, and I will definitely be back for another lesson very, very soon.

Another great session with Na! Before each lesson she sends you a lot of good reading and listening material, and then reviews it thoroughly during the session, expanding on many of the topics.

Tonight's session was great! Na Na continuously builds on the prior sessions' lessons, and is helping my vocabulary grow tremendously. I have learned more in a few sessions with Na Na, than I did in months of self-study!
