Tutor
Graduate of DePaul University (’06) with degrees in English and Spanish.
Travel experience to Nogales, Mexico (November-December 2004) for a service immersion, focusing on immigration and the USA-Mexican border; short-term study abroad to Salamanca, Spain (July-August 2005), focusing on language and culture; short-term study abroad and service immersion to El Salvador (November-December 2005), focusing on globalization, war, religion, and human rights. Leisure travel to Riviera Maya, Mexico.
I have an affinity for the written language (in Spanish and in English). Grammatical rules and guidelines make sense to me, and I can help make sense of them to non-native English/Spanish learners. I have writing experience both in academic as well as media settings. I currently work in higher education at a liberal arts college thirty miles north of Chicago, IL.
I have recently been accepted to DePaul University’s School of Public Service graduate degree program to specialize in International Public Service. I look forward to starting my graduate degree coursework in summer 2008.
