Hello there! I’m Lorelei, and my passion is languages. I would love to help you improve your language skills. Pick one and let’s have fun!
English – Midwest (“newscaster” or "neutral") pronunciation; I am also familiar with other pronunciations and spellings (e.g. British English) if you prefer
中文 – (Mandarin) Chinese
한국어 – Korean (Seoul dialect/pronunciation)
español – Spanish (generalized Latin American)
I prefer to teach beginners because they need the most help, but even if you are more intermediate, please contact me to see if we can be a good match!
For you non-native English speakers looking for help with English, please consider my experience in teaching English and my language abilities! I understand your struggle—and, if I speak your language, I understand where you are coming from in terms of your native grammar, which helps me understand why you make mistakes and how to correct them.
For you native English speakers looking for help with Spanish, Chinese, or Korean—please consider the great thing about having a native English speaker for a foreign language teacher/conversation partner is that they can more easily intuit why you make mistakes and how to correct them!
I can also teach English speakers with Apple computers learn how to type in Chinese or use the Korean keyboard.

lorelei rules! i was pretty intimidated about the tones in mandarin but she broke it down for me so i could easily understand them, and she hooked me up with a bunch of useful phrases for when i hit up shanghai. xie xie!
Lorelei is really cool, she knows a bunch of cool languages from Korean, Mandarin and Spanish, not to mention English! If you need to know any of these languages I really recommend you drop her a line!
