Tutor
I’m a recent high school graduate in Virginia, USA after taking two years of International Baccalaureate English and a Creative Writing class which focuses on not only creativity but grammar as well. I do not speak any other languages fluently but I’m here to help advanced students learning English to correct their sentence structure, grammar, and spelling. Along with English, I’m now providing Literary Analysis tutoring for those pursuing higher level English in high school or college.
I also teach beginners Japanese. I have currently finished taking two years of an online Japanese class. Although I don’t know advanced level Japanese, I’m willing to teach beginner and intermediate Japanese.
Some of my favorite Japanese things:
Shows – Hana Yori Dango, Furuba, Hana Kimi, and Azumanga Daioh
Movies – Death Note 1 & 2, Zatoichi, Shinobi, and Hara Kiri
Music – Ayumi Hamasaki, Ai Otsuka, MiniMoni, and Aya Matsuura
In my spare time I play loads of video games (Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, & Sims 3) and hang out with my boyfriend, fellow eduFire tutor of Japanese swordsmanship and DnD.
I can’t wait to meet you! がんばって!

Kate is a really nice person with a bright personality, and she knows a lot about how the Japanese language works! (And, not to mention, she doesn't care whether her students are getting attacked by middle-schoolers and plush monkeys at all. =D) Thanks again, Kate! I learned a lot!
Kate is outgoing, bright, and funny!!
She has a great personality and honestly, anybody can be her friend.
I am only one of the thousands that have seen her fabulous japanese lessons. I hope she can get the front page of youtube someday.
Kate is a very good teacher, and you can take her seriously since shes almost in college. Her lessons are bright, cheery and with a lot of expression. I would highly recommend her as a tutor.
Arigatou, Kate-san!! :P
