I have had the good fortune of taking Russian classes from Julia in person. She made the classes quite enjoyable while continually challenging me. Julia takes great interest in seeing that her efforts are successful and is very much liked by her students. Julia has had many years of experience in both classroom and one on one settings and has excellent knowledge of both Russian and English languages. This is an opportunity to learn from a skilled, experienced, and professional instructor at a great price.

Yulia is a wonderful teacher! I met her when I was an undergraduate student at the University of Northern Iowa, and she was my Russian language teacher. She really cares about her students, giving them extra help when needed and really making an effort to help them understand. I stayed with her family as an exchange student in Russia, and was able to observe her do a lot of tutoring during this time, as well as get to know her better as a person. She is a very patient, flexible and thorough teacher, a good listener, and a caring friend. Her manner is always professional while she is on the job, and she challenges her students while remaining supportive and encouraging. I also found her to have an exhaustive knowledge and masterful usage of both the English and Russian languages and literature. I would often ask her questions about English grammar as well as Russian, although English is my native tongue, and she always had a well-explained answer to my question!

I am an American physician who is learning Russian for work-related purposes. Yulia is currently teaching me conversational and written Russian. I have found Yulia to be very skilled in teaching Russian with an upbeat and helpful style. I am very pleased to always have written lessons e-mailed to me before our lesson, since I can review the lesson both before and after my personalized virtual class. Yulia also personalizes my homework to strengthen my weak points. I am grateful to be working with Yulia. She is an excellent instructor.
