I’m CJ!

I am here to help you write clearly and effectively! I will guide you in your writing process to show you how to write appropriately in various disciplines. As a series of workshops, I will address: audience, genre, reader expectations, tone, bias, persuasion, thesis statements, organization, documentation, clarity, analysis, evaluation, evidence, conclusions, and possibly other important aspects of writing (upon request).

I am a very responsible student with some high level experience in editing and writing. I am a senior at Millsaps College, which has been featured with Harvard, Amherst, and Duke among the 17 schools that stress writing in all aspects of academics, where my education has always been grounded in a writing-intensive core curriculum. I have worked for the writing center at Millsaps, which is also a nationally recognized program. http://www.millsaps.edu/dean/writing/
I am experienced in tutoring reading, writing, and grammar to children, high school students, college students, and ESL students. I have edited/published two writing compilations (one on how to write three basic types of essays) and have started on my own novel.
