About Me

I am a full time college student majoring in Applied Computer Graphics. I am currently attending community college (because it’s much cheaper and closer to home) to earn general education credits and satisfy unit requirements for transfer to CSU Chico.

I graduated from high school on June 5th 2008 with Honors (my GPA was a 3.3 unweighted and a 3.8 weighted).

My hobbies include web design, graphics design, story writing, reading, watching television, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.

I am eduFire’s resident US History teacher (as people on here have referred to me as such). I love learning and teaching others what I know. Hey, it’s the best way to retain knowledge, am I right?

I am learning Japanese, Computer Programming, and Drawing.

United States History
* I will tutor you on anything that you need to know about the founding of the United States of America. This covers the years 1492 (Christopher Columbus) – Today.
* As I took an advanced course of the subject, you can be assured that I know my facts and will be an excellent tutor for you.
* Don’t understand a historical event or key term? I will break down it down into simple English so that you do understand.

United States Government
* This subject covers the 3 branches that make up of the federal and state governments of the United States, the Constitution of United States, how United States laws are passed, and so on.
* Whether you need tutoring for your United States Government class, or you just want to refresh your memory, I can assist you.

Essential Skills:

Practical Essay Writing
* Learn how to write a great essay!!!
* This covers: essay structure, writing in different tenses (1st person, 2nd person, 3 person), putting together a working thesis, quoting and crediting information, putting together a work cited/bibliography page, using MAL format (for high school students) and APA format (for college students), and so on.

Just for fun:

Adobe Photoshop (Beginner)
* I can introduce you to Photoshop’s interface, and teach you how to use features and tools such as: layer adjustments, filters, brushes, automate, gif animation, selections, layout slicing, saving images for the Web, and much more! As I am having issues with my Photoshop, I won’t be offering this for a while. Sorry.

What YOU Need To Know

Currently, I do NOT have a webcam, though I am working on getting one. Due to this issue, all sessions must be done through voice alone on the eduFire software (or on Skype if that doesn’t work). For this reason, I will not be tutoring in English for the time being. Should you ask for assistance in English, make sure that it is literature, essay or homework based, not language learning.
