Tutor
I teach English, prose performance, and test prep, and also provide a portal into the world of homeschooling writing resources.
I coach students in SAT and CLEP essay strategies; I also offer support with math, critical reading, and writing to any SAT student who is using The Official College Board Guide. If you are taking the optional writing portion of the ACT, you may contact me as well.
I enjoy reading and recording public domain works as well as my own material. If you have an interest in recording or performing — even if you’re a little shy — feel free to contact me.
I have links up to some of my other sites. If you are homeschooling young children, you may want to visit my homepage and teaching blog for information about kids’ writing classes. Also check back in at this site for upcoming spelling classes/ diagnostics for adolescents and adults. If your first language is Spanish — or some other truly phonetic language — English can seem a little puzzling! My program focuses on the words most commonly used in the workplace, school, and daily life.
Thanks for stopping by!
This snippet of my own published writing illustrates something I believe about essays — that even test takers can benefit from bringing a bit of their own selves to the writing prompt.
