About Me

I’m a Washington certified elementary teacher, and a writer of essay, poetry, and short memoir.

I teach English, prose performance, and test prep, and also provide a portal into the world of homeschooling writing resources.

I’ve been involved with the new SAT in one capacity or another since 2005.

I coach students in SAT essay strategies; I also offer support with math, critical reading, and writing to any student who is using The Official College Board Guide. If you are taking the optional writing portion of the ACT, you may contact me as well.

One of my passions is writing; another is audio.

I enjoy reading and recording public domain works as well as my own material. If you have an interest in recording or performing — even if you’re a little shy — feel free to contact me.

Also check back in at this site for upcoming spelling classes/ diagnostics for adolescents and adults. If your first language is Spanish — or some other truly phonetic language — English can seem a little puzzling! My program focuses on the words most commonly used in the workplace, school, and daily life.
