こんにちは！Hello and welcome to my Edufire page! I’m very happy to have you here and look forward to helping you learn Japanese.

When you are considering your Japanese teacher it’s critical to decide your goals at the beginning. I am from Tokyo and speak with the most common accent. Learning with me will ensure your Japanese is understood by the widest possible audience.

I have lived in several countries and currently can speak multiple languages. I’m also currently learning to speak Spanish and therefore understand what it’s like to be a student of a foreign language.

However, it’s very important to me that your lessons are custom tailored to suit your individual needs. Therefore I offer several different options.

All lessons are between 30-45 minutes and require you to at least have a headset/microphone and preferably a broadband connection. A webcam is optional, but strongly recommended to get the most benefit.

If you are a beginner in Japanese and are looking to learn reading, writing and vocabulary, then we will go through the Genki textbook series together. However, if you are more interested in conversational Japanese and colloquialisms, we can customize your lessons to include things such as Japanese song lyrics from J-Pop/Rock, episodes of anime, Japanese movies, or reading manga together. Additionally, if you are an intermediate or advanced Japanese student, we can simply concentrate on your conversational skills for the entire lesson or work.

Focusing on the learning method that works for you personally, rather than simply following a rigid program is the key to a successful program.
