The lesson today sped by as it was so much fun. I learned many new adjectives in a creative way. The lesson was already planned out with lots of preparation, but in addition, there was plenty of opportunity to discuss other subjects. Katia has a great sense of humour and is very encouraging.

This lesson was so much fun. Katia had a lesson prepared and we both used the lesson and easily went off topic when I needed clarification.The time flew by. She is an excellent teacher. Again I am looking forward to next lesson.

I appreciate very much the way that Katia uses Italian songs to make the sessions much more than memorization of lists. The songs are great for working on listening skills and they are a fascinating way to learn about Italian culture.

Katia is very good at judging the strengths of her students and then pushing them. I am working on my conversational Italian and I have recognized a substantial improvement in only a few weeks. I am very pleased because she helps me understand spoken italian and she explains all the grammatical aspects so that I understand without just repeating phrases.

Katia is an excellent tutor for someone who is motivated. She challenges me constantly but is very patient and repeats herself to make sure that I understand. She is also exceptional because she adapts the tutoring sessions so that they are constantly interesting.

Katia uses many aspects of Italian life and culture to teach the language. For example, in the most recent session she used a current Italian song to work on listening comprehension, verbs, and to talk about the poetic beauty of the italian language. I wish I could have found a tutor like Katia long ago!

Katia began by reviewing material from before, but in a manner that makes it fresh and interesting again. She is very good at handling the time and I was surprised at how quickly the 45 minutes ended - a sign that the educational experience is very interesting and challenging.

Katia was very organized - she had an outline that we covered completely in the 45 minutes. She was very patient with my numerous mistakes and very good at helping me figure out the answers without telling me what to say. Afterwards, I could tell that my spoken Italian had made an improvement.

Katia was excellent! I didn't think I could speak French, and she had me speaking on the first lesson. She is very smart, and vibrant. She makes it fun, has a sense of humour, and spices up the dialogues. It was not intimidating to start speaking right away. C'est bon!
