About Me

My next project : A class about French surnames using both English and French. I will speak slowly in French introducing vocabulary using the fantastic story of surnames and I will help speaking in English.
Very Important : I try to have time for teaching on Edufire but the more I try and the less I can. I have many students on the field and I must update my dictionaries online. I need 48 hours a day. That is my big problem right now.
My eternal mail is dictionaric@aol.com I am not always available when I have many lessons on the field. Sorry AIf you can not reach meBMy New Time Table is hereCMy Village is here朋友! 我法语。我教法语! 我不教英语。但是:我可以讲英语。您是否了解?您是否想要学会法语?Je suis Français et enseigne le Français. I am French and I can teach French in English. Ich bin Franzose und lehre meine Sprache auch auf deutsch. Я Француз и могу преподавать по-русски. Jestem Francuzem i mogę uczyć po polsku.Contact me one day before so that I will be able to react. Check my website where you will find many dictionaries free online and handmade by me.I noticed that people who have no profile or picture are mostly able to become no-shows. I will decline any session for people who have not at least a minimum profile and a photo. It’s not funny to teach ghosts. Boooo !VERY IMPORTANT ! Test your connection here : Choose the Los Angeles Server !http://speakeasy.net/speedtest/ In 2009 February my own results with this server regularly oscillate between : Download Speed: 2916 to 3133 kbps (374 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 501 to 618 kbps (74 KB/sec transfer rate) A good connection is necessary for having a fantastic lesson.

  • About my family name (surname) : My exact surname is JOUANNÈS (with this french è) but this name originates from the river JOUANNE in western France. In French many place names have this ending -S and are connected to villages or towns based on a concrete substantive or meaning. It shows that a long time ago there was a village called JOUANNES (without this French è) on the river JOUANNE. One of my ancestors was certainly born in this now disappeared village and gave to his descent this name. The meaning of the river name JOUANNE is not mysterious anymore. It is the long evolution (2000 years long) of the Gaulic DIV ONNA “godly river”. I must say I am very proud and happy to have this name :>) ASNIÈRES is another example “donkey place”. SARCELLES “teal place”.
    CASTRES “castle place”.
    CHELLES “cell place”.
    ARMENTIÈRES “cattle place”.
    and so on…

Testimonials

Daniel Goldstein Hurray for Patrick! We've had three classes with him so far, and he is everything you would want in a French teacher - interesting, enthusiastic, and talkative. He keeps the lesson time moving at a nice rate, and explains any difficult words we encounter.
