About Me

Jamila: About me…The first and only thing that comes to mind right now is this, “I see myself as an ‘International Soul’.”

Reader: What does that mean?

Jamila: That’s a good question. ‘International soul’…it is a challenge to explain. Maybe it is similar to ‘mono no aware’, or ‘wabi sabi’…when we see it, we begin to understand it.

Reader: So, maybe we will understand it as we get to know you.

Jamila: I believe so. I will say this. Everywhere I go, I feel at home…at least a little bit…but usually I feel very much at home wherever I go.

Some interests I have include international dance, cuisine, cultures, music, and travel.
