About Me

Note: I got a new computer, and I can still use my mic, but unfortunately my camera is not compatible with Vista. Until I get a new camera, it’ll be mic only.

What could I say to make you believe in my Japanese ability?

I don’t know… but my hobbies include reading old texts from the pre-meiji era. The also enjoy the occasional Souseki or random little book I pick up at the bookstore.

I used to be pretty versed in anime and manga, but lately have become so engulfed in classical literary works that I have become a 古典ヲタク (classical Japanese otaku)

I also write poetry… including prose, waka, haiku, as well as occasionally gathering with some of my 古典ヲタク friends and doing renga over Skype…

I also occasionally write music (in modern Japanese) but I get pretty graphic with things going on in my life, so I don’t tend to share…

As far as speaking ability… most Japanese people say that I speak with a good accent that is not too foreign and easy to understand.

Well… I guess you could take my word for all this, or you could just… not?

I’ll try to upload an intro vid to give you an idea of what my ability is like…

I will do lessons for all levels.

I will also to conversations for all levels.

Lauren W Jonathan is an ultimate expert in Japanese and classical Japanese language fundamentals. He is extremely credible, and his spoken Japanese is excellent. I was able to catch some of his conversational Japanese, which was exceptionally fluid, when he received a phone call towards the end of the lesson. All in all, if you're looking to trust someone with your time/money, and you want an in-depth understanding of both modern and classical Japanese literature and grammar, it would be a great idea (to say the least) to take lessons from Jonathan.
